The Crop Over Festival, celebrates a 200 year-old tradition that honors the end of the sugar cane season in Barbados.
Grand Kadooment Day takes place on August 5th. Masquerade Bands make their way to the Mighty Grynner Highway with revelers dressed in sequin costumes decorated with colorful feathers, jewels and bright accents; dancing behind music trucks and moving bars. Antigua gives you two days of parade celebrations. The colourful parade turns the streets of St. John’s, the capital of the island, to a giant show stage. Every summer London hosts one of the world’s largest street carnivals, Notting Hill Carnival. It is estimated that close to one million people attend this celebration of Caribbean heritage on the streets of Notting Hill. 2019 Notting Hill Carnival takes place Sunday 25th August to Monday August 26.
